There are a lot of benefits in drinking 24 ounces of milk everyday. Milk is a first-rate source of complete protein (containing all 9 essential amino acids that are required to meet our physiological needs), one of the prime sources of bone-building calcium for adults and also of vitamins (especially D and K). Thus there could tough reasons why you should take 8 ounces of milk before taking a good night sleep.
Casein, which is a complete protein, is well absorbed by the cells at night. It contained almost 80 percent of the protein found in milk. It cannot be dissolved in water but instead appears in milk as a suspension. This made casein be absorbed by the cells without any used of chemicals.
Sleep-inducing tryptophan is a protein that can also be found in milk. Tryptophan works best on an empty stomach and so it would be wise to give a gap of at least 1-2 hours between dinner and your glass of milk. Milk could also regulate your snacking, thus, you are much less likely to pamper in a heavier, diet-crashing, pastries snack when hunger hits at bedtime. Lastly, calcium found in milk makes your bones strong and repairs your damaged muscle from heavy exercises.
