People who are in the market for power wheelchairs are always looking for the cheapest model that they can get the job done with but the fact is that with electric wheelchairs as with much else in life you get what you pay for. What this means is that if you want a high quality power wheelchair that is built out of quality materials and has good craftsmanship and construction as well you will have to pay a premium for a premium product.
When it comes to power wheelchairs buying a premium product is a good idea because an electric wheelchair is something that you will be using for many hours a day and for a few years at the very least. If you buy a premium electric wheelchair like a Pronto M41 power wheelchair you will not only have a power wheelchair that is well made and comfortable it will also be much more likely to last you more than a few years with no trouble whatsoever.
Sure you can buy a cheaper power wheelchair with many if not all of the features of the Pronto for much less money but the fact is most probably won’t have the great build quality of the Pronto and it definitely won’t have all the features of the Pronto. It will also be more prone to breaking down and need repairs more frequently and it will take a greater effort to maintain it as well, especially if you plan to use the power wheelchair very heavily. This will be a huge drain on resources as with many low quality power wheelchairs you can end up spending a lot of money on the maintenance and the repairs of the wheelchair and soon you will have spent any money that you saved by buying a cheaper electric wheelchair. An expensive electric wheelchair like the Pronto will also have much better service and a longer warranty and the last thing to keep in mind is that a premium electric wheelchair will have a much better resale value when the time comes for you to trade it in.
